How Does Our 3-Layer Membrane Technology Work?

Zhanfa 3L composite fabrics unite three specialized layers via advanced solvent-free PUR hot-melt lamination:

  • Protective Outer Face: High-density nylon or recycled polyester treated with C0 PFC-free DWR (fluorine-free water repellency) that causes surface rain droplets to bead and roll off.
  • Intelligent Center Membrane: Either microporous expanded PTFE containing billions of sub-micron pores per square centimeter, or monolithic hydrophilic TPU ensuring 100% wind impermeability and elastic recovery at sub-zero temperatures.
  • Moisture-Managing Inner Backing: Micro-grid circular knit or ultralight 7D tricot lining that protects the membrane, reduces inner friction, and pulls perspiration away from the skin.

What Quality & Testing Standards Do We Comply With?

All production lots undergo comprehensive testing in our in-house ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. Verified performance metrics include:

"According to ISO 811:2018 (Textiles — Hydrostatic Pressure Test), Zhanfa 3-layer technical fabrics maintain barrier impermeability up to 28,000 mm H₂O. Breathability testing in accordance with JIS L1099 Method B1 confirms moisture vapor transmission rates exceeding 20,000 g/m²/24h."
"Abrasion resistance verified via ISO 12947-2 (Martindale Method) exceeds 50,000 cycles without yarn failure. Certified under OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Annex 4, Class I & II) ensuring absence of hazardous substances, and certified under Global Recycled Standard (GRS v4.0)."
